“The home is where many of your sweetest memories are made and your home should be a unique representation of you as an individual, filled with all the things that make your own hearts smile.”
Born and raised in Southern Louisiana, where French roots run deep, Lucy Carbo’s style was influenced by the stately historic homes and sugar cane fields in the area. Inspired by all the beauty around her, her passion for design stemmed from a very early age. It is because of this natural progression of time that there is now a sense of refinement that can be seen amongst her work.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from Louisiana State University, she went on to study Architecture at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Aside from her innate appreciation and interpretation of a well curated design, this background attributes to her talent to problem-solve and space plan. She believes that, “Much like cultivating a cohesive line in fashion design, the interior of a space should share common threads to unify it and make it one throughout.” As an artist herself, Lucy’s eye for design translates into creating the perfect canvas for her clients to live and work in; balancing the aesthetic and function to achieve a well-designed space suitable to your own style and needs.
Simply put, her philosophy is that home is where the heart is. As former owner of Green House Interiors, Lucy has over 10 years of working design experience. With her background in fashion, architecture, and design, paired with her love of antiques, and her practiced eye for refinement and balance, Lucy looks forward to working with you to create your uniquely personal style.
